When we think of our first trip to Ireland, and all of the places we saw, and stayed - Kylemore House is our favorite - and it was the first place we stayed! The hosts were exactly what we expected from the warm, loving Irish people, the views were spectacular and the surrounding areas are the best of Ireland's West...... More

We stayed 3 nights while visiting the entire area and found our room to be spacious with a fabuous view of the lake and surrounding area. Very near Kylemore Abbey which was our prime attraction to the area. Having a tub in a B&B was a treat for a long vacation. The food was excellent. More

This was our second trip to Ireland in as many years. We have stayed in a lot of different b and b's and quite a few hotels. Our visit to Kylemore House was our favorite b and b. It is truly a beautiful setting and the house itself is full of gorgeous antiques. Our room was very comfortable and we... More

We stayed here just few days with friends. It was lovely, lovely staff, lovely rooms, lovely view on the lake. Just up the road, we have pleased to spend our evening in the sailors bar, just near Kylemore House, a nice place to eat and friendly staff, it is really a confortable bar after a day of walking, with a... We visited the abbey all day then stayed at this B&B. The views of the lake were breathtaking! It has a beautiful sitting room and the breakfast was good. Our room was a bit cramped, the smallest room we've stayed in all this week of travel in Ireland, but still had everything we needed and the woman who ran the... More

We stayed at Kylemore House for 2 nights when my husband participated in an Ultra-Trail Championship at the National Park of Connemara. We had chosen to stay here firstly, due to the good reviews which have been written about it on this site and secondly, due to its close proximity to Kylemore Abbey, which was the starting point of the... We stayed at Kylemore House in May 2010 for one night as we drove around Ireland. The B&B was just a few minutes drive from beautiful Kylemore Abbey. Our huge room faced the lake on the 2nd floor and was very atmospheric. The location provided a quiet solitude in a great place in Ireland. The hosts were very friendly and... More

Stayed for one night during our honeymoon. Great location with a view of the water just across the road. Friendly service, beautiful location, happy dog to welcome you, and what a view! More

If you are spending some time in the west of Ireland, you must poke around in the Connemara, and Kylemore House is the perfect place to stay. Just down the twisty road from Kylemore Abbey (which is black as pitch at night, so drive carefully!), and right on the beautiful, serene lake, it's a peaceful and friendly place. Nancy will... More

This place was beautiful and had everything we wanted. The spot was even gorgeous being right near the Kylemore Abby but we underestimated how long it would take to get here but that was my overestimation. I do recommend this spot if you are planning on being in the area. The bathroom here was stunning with a wonderful claw foot... More
