My wife and I stayed at the tamaimo tropical for one week all-inclusive from 26th jan and absolutely loved it. All the staff in the hotel were so helpful and friendly, always smiling. The service in the dining room was excellent, food choice more than adequate, regularly replenished although occassionally you could pick up a plate that was not cleaned... More

We went self catering as we like to get up late, eat out and do our own thing which we did every day! The accommodation was cleaned every day except Sunday, the pieces of cutlery were limited but were replenished if reported to reception. The kettle would boil then reboil after 5 mins when the temp dropped, so you had... More

To start off, we were NOT supposed to be in this hotel. So our opinions on the whole holiday are less than what they should have been. Rooms: The first room we had was a complete squalor, something you'd expect the yobs to stay in at Butlins! Plug sockets hanging out the walls, insect infested, dirty and just generally horrible.... This apartment hotel is very tired - rusty fridge, rusty bath, very uncomfortable sofa, 80s decor. Very under-equipped for self-caterers - beans on toast would be about as gourmet as you could manage, and even that would be a struggle as there is only one power-point for a kettle, a toaster and a microwave. Very noisy at night, with sometimes... More

Just returned from a week All Inclusive with Thomsons. Hotel clean, well mainted, food good, drinks and snacks great. The evening entertainment was poor but nice to get out and go to some local bars with excellent nightlife (Especially Route 66). I recommend you hire a car and get around to Los Gigantes, Masca Village etc. Also the boat trip... More

I have just returned from a week's stay all inclusive at this apartment hotel. I was rather anxious about what to expect after reading some of the reviews. However I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was a 4th floor studio apartment which consisted of a separate bedroom and large kitchen/lounge with the balcony overlooking one of the swimming pools.... More

Good stuff first: its cheap, the staff are uber-professional, the rooms are clean if spartan, you are unlikely to be robbed. Bad stuff : the catering is largely composed of uninspired school dinners, the resort is very quiet at night, the hotel has some crazy policies that are rigidly enforced, even when they make no sense at all, such as... Very happy with Tamaimo Tropical. The activityprograms were just perfect for me and my 6 years old daughter. The activityleaders were pros, also for adults. Heated pool was a relief since the other pools did not reach 20 C. We had breakfast buffet every morning and it was ok. Reception staff were great. We will defenitially go there again. More
