We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 2 week trip around the Highlands and Islands. We loved this place from start to finish, and wouldn't hesitate to return. The location is stunning, quiet and beautiful. The decor is warm, cosy and tranquil. The owner is very hands on and goes out of her way to be friendly... More

This was our first visit to Scotland, we flew to Glasgow airport and drove through the most beautiful scenery. Eventually we reached a long and winding single track road which seemed to go on for ever till at last we turned a corner and saw the pretty little building that is the Pier House, at the end of the road... The Pierhouse is in a magical location with stunning views across to Lismore. We could have looked at the view all day! The bar was nice and cosy with a residents lounge available too. We enjoyed dinners in the restaurant and bar and both were good (breakfast was excellent). The staff were very friendly and helpful and more than happy... More

We stayed here 2 nights. The location is beautiful and I could have looked at the view and watched the sunsets forever. The hotel was a little disappointing, the rooms were run down and the bed was the hardest I have ever (not) slept on! The bathroom looked as though it had recently been refurbished and although very small was... More

Thank you for your review and feedback. I am very disappointed to read that you were not entirely happy with various elements of your stay and that you found the bed hard. We do regularly check all our beds for comfort and I am sorry that your bed was not to your liking. I have issue with your comment about... More

I consider this to be the perfect hotel in the perfect location - the feeling of peace was instant. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Lorraine who once we had signed in took us on a tour of the hotel and its facilities before showing us to our room. The room was spacious with an amazing view over to... More

A beautiful location on the beach looking out across Loch Linnhe to mountains on the other side. Perhaps more accurately described as a restaurant with rooms, but what a restaurant! Possibly the best restaurant meal I’ve had in ten years. Fabulously fresh seafood, the fishermen literally unload at the quay outside the front door. Superb breakfast as well. Our room... More

We stayed here at the last minute on the way back from the Isle of Skye having eaten here on the way up. The setting is really beautiful and we cannot over-emphasise this. The hotel is very clean and everything is thought out sensitively. The breakfast was really special with local smoked salmon and freshly baked croissants. Thanks for having... More

This is a fairly remote and small hotel between Oban and Fort William. The hotel is cosy, staff are very friendly and helpful and the restaurant (though slightly pricey) is second to none. Pity about the weather when we were there but it encouraged us to socialise with other guests in the homely snug. The whole experience gets full marks... More

Thank you for your review and I am delighted you enjoyed your stay. We are extremely fortunate for many things at The Pierhouse; from the beautiful location to the provision of fresh seafood straight out of the loch; but most of all we are so incredibly fortunate to have such a nice group of staff which is the single most... We were made to feel very welcome in this hotel. All the members of staff were friendly and the beds were comfortable. The only minus was breakfast. The cold section was very basic without any cheese or ham. If you are not a fan of a full Scottish or porridge after 3 days it gets a bit boring to have... More

We took some visitors to Scotland to the Pier House Hotel. We have been before, about four years ago. The Pier House has since won some awards and we can understand why.
