We really loved our room and the food ( breakfast and dinner) , but the whole place is overcrowded and the owner a little bit stressed by his own situation. Florida Center is in every travel guide and it seems, that everyone wants to stay there, or at least to eat there- too much business for one person. We got... More

Even though we called twice to confirm our booking (and e-mailed just before we left for Cuba) we didn't actually stay in this casa. We were picked up from the bus station and taken to Florida to be greeted by the owner and told that we would be staying just around the corner but that we could have our meals... More

Didn’t stay here however we popped in unannounced and was hoping to get a dinner at the paladar and lucky enough there was a table for two available. The environment was quaint, loved the interiors and furnishings and plush greenery in the courtyard. Settled down and ordered a lobster main and a beef dish as a second main to share,... More

We were supposed to stay at this Hostal for 2 nights but I called 2 days in advance to mention that we would only stay for 1 night. The day before we arrived, I called again to confirm that the room was still available and we were told that yes, the room was still available for one night. When we... More

We managed to wrestle a spot for ourselves, despite there being previous reservations (see other posts as to this hostal owner' priorities) and really enjoyed the gorgeous courtyard and tranquil atmosphere during the daylight hours. However, he has recently turned the restaurant into his main business (which is stationed in the courtyard). All rooms open onto the courtyard, and don't... More

There seems to be some confusion among reviewers as well as with a couple we met at dinner at the restaurant within this Casa. Apparently when you book with them, they are connected to other Casa's in the area, so if there are no rooms available at this particular Casa, they connect you to another Casa for providing you a... Our casa in Havana booked this place for us. When we arrived, Angel told the 4 of us we would be staying in a different casa with the older man next to him. It was no problem, 2 blocks away and closer to the square. Both hostals were beautiful old homes, overflowing with antiques, art work, memorabilia. Our rooms were... More

Room was booked, and booking confirmed a few days before arrival. At arrival, the owner of this place daring to tell you, no there is no place, you should have confirmed! And then, talking like even you made a mistake he will help, saying: but I have a room for you in a great house. In fact, thans (because of)... More

Didn`t stay there but without a doubt one of the best lobster meals in Cuba. Excellent wine, too. The restaurant was full making the atmosphere great. Had a look at the casa during the day - a mix of museum, antiques and kitsch - fascinating and a photographic feast as well.

We booked and had received a confirmation 2 months in advance. Also confirmed by phone 2 days in advance of arrival. When we got there he shuffled us off to another casa 6 blocks away, with no explanation. This was after making sure we would return for dinner at 7 p.m. Dinner was actually the worst we had on our...
