We spent the last 2 days of our trip in Co Sligo. As we were visiting family in Bunnanaddan, we decided to splurge and stay at Temple House; the location could not be more convenient. It's not often I say something this expensive is a good value but Temple House is worth it. My wife and I had the corner... more

Historic, romantic, scenic, splendid, comfortable yet elegant do not begin to do justice in describing the wonderful ambiance of Temple House. It is a magical place that was by far the highlight of our recent visit to Ireland. My husband, son, daughter-in-law and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the three days we spent with our gracious hosts, Roderick and... more

I stayed there some years ago when the parents of present man was in charge. Roderick has done great work since then. Fresh unpretensious food ...like you would have at home was great and the one table conversations are what you need on holiday. He has kept the style and upped the comfort to modern standards! He's a very nice... more

We just spent a great evening at the Temple House. I was traveling with my husband and two girls (11 and 13). The Temple House was our 'treat' during a one-week tour through various B&B's throughout Ireland. We loved it! You arrive via a long driveway--on all sides were grazing sheep, and because we were there during prime lambing season--dozens... more

Thank you so much for your kind words. The lambs are growing quickly and have taken to racing round in swarms of skipping woolly things! Hope to see you another time.

My daughter, sister and I stayed for two nights. We agreed that we would have been happy to stay a week. Our "suite" looking over the garden and a view of the ruins and lake was like something out of a magazine-something we'd never thought we'd experience in person. The Percivals were so very welcoming to visitors not used to... more

We spent a most enjoyable weekend here. We were staying with a group of friends (10 or so). The owners are extremely friendly and have a most fantastic skill of being welcoming yet not overbearing. The house and grounds are next to none. Vistas and history abound. The one thing I would say to people looking to stay here (and... more

Stayed at the Temple house for two nights and I had a great time. Roderick was a great host and met all our needs. Rooms were well maintained and the dinner and breakfast fantastic. Location was well suited to see the main sites in the area. Our host suggested a great restaurant for our second night for dinner. This is... more

I can only recommend Temple House to everybody! This lovely personal, family run country house in the peaceful gardens on a lake is so romantic, utterly quiet and offers lovely bedrooms, old world style feeling, a pink sitting room with free WIFI and huge Irish breakfasts. The evening entertainment of concerts, balls etc is SUPER and I look forward to... more
