This hotel is beautifully situated on the side of a valley in the mountainous area of northern Portugal. The view from the hotel dining room is spectacular. Raphael & Marcus took time to talk to us and answer all our questions. The breakfast & dinner were delicious - especially the bean dishes.

I spent 2 weeks (roughly speaking) at this B&B and I absolutely recommend it! Starting with the rooms, they're nice and comfy and they all have balconies: some facing the pool, some facing the valley (great view at night!). I cannot fault the Abergaria Berne.....I just wish that I had found it earler as we have stayed in many far less comfortable places in the Serra da Estela region. The food and the service at dinner were both exceptionally good and all at such very reasonable rates
