We could only stay one night and the staff and room were very pleasant. The end twin room was a little dark and narrow but that is because of the traditional Spanish-style architecture, and we slept well. The room was a little pricey I felt. If we went back we would pay more to stay in the cottages as they... More

I'm glad I choose to stay at this resort instead of other expensive hotel nearby. The owner, Ms. Fides is very accommodating. She gave us helpful information on how to go around the island. All the staff are always willing to help. The rooms are very clean. The place is serene and fireflies are so magical! The trees and flowers... More

This is a very small resort run by the owner, who cares very much about maintaining the wildlife in the area. The property includes a firefly sanctuary, which is worth catching in the early evening. The small beach area here is rocky (as are most of the beaches in Siquijor), so it is advisable to bring water shoes. The staff... More

The hotel is a great find. The rooms are very clean, cozy and very comforting. Everything you need will be provided from kitchen utensils and even to information about must find places that you are not aware of. The owner and the staffs are very accomodating and helpful. I will certainly go back there not just because of the brilliant... More

Relaxed and has everything you expect for an off the tourist map guesthouse! We stayed in the self contained rooms - they don't have double beds but that isn't a problem for me. The rooms are clean and nice. The food there is delicious too. It doesn't really have a beach per say but a slightly sandy rocky area which... More

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at Hambilica. Delicious home cooked meals using fresh ingredients from the garden and local farmers. Food was cooked using coconut milk from the trees on the property. When I ordered calamansi juice for breakfast, the fruit was picked fresh before my eyes. Fides helped out with everything including trekking routes and trike hiring. My room was spotlessly... More

Stayed at Hambilica December 2011. Stayed solo at the Maayo cottage. Very nice place and very nice people - genuine friendly and very helpful - thank you! Got a discount without even asking for not using the built in kitchen. Rented a motorcycle from Fides, the owner of Hambilica, with helmet. Good SCUBA diving with Ken just down the road,... More

Fides has devoted her energies at Hambilica to preserving wildlife as much as possible and is a staunch protector of her local environment. The resort is built on a rocky patch of the coast, arranged around a varied garden of coral paths, the odd hammock, shrubs and trees, with a few steps down to the firefly hatchery at the water.... We were in Siquijor in January 2011. From Dumaguete, we took the Delta Fast ferry to the Island (P160+15). From the port we took a port trike (cost P20/person) to go short distance to the tricyle terminal for another trike to go to San Juan for another P20. Suggest e-mail hotel and request port pick-up. Stayed at Hambilica Seaview Hotel... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The garden is amazing. We stayed in the upper room of the big cottage. We had a comfortable bed, fridge, big bathroom with hot water, and very nice balcony. But what we most liked, is that we had our own little kitchen. There was no breakfast included. The room was P1800. All and all... More
