Clean, good value hotel. Better than 2 star status. Pub food was excellent and very well priced. Staff welcoming and helpful. Bedroom had no window - relied on small bathroom window for air. Beds were comfortable if a little small.

The whole package was excellent, the room, service, location, evening pub meal, breakfast, the staff. A benchmark for others to take example from. Would thoroughly recommend and would sty here again, well done.

Very friendly staff, comfortable beds and right in the centre of Cong with parking behind the hotel. Great food in Crowe's Nest. Just jump downstairs, it belongs to the hotel is is less crowded than other places. I was there on a Wednesday, there was live music and (as far as I can tell) a nice mixture of locals and tourists. You can really feel that both the hotel and the pub are a family-run place, finest hospitality and there is always time for a short chat.

We were delighted with our stay here. The bedroom wasn’t elaborate, but very comfortable. The barman was a lovely guy. Food was extremely good - the roast beef was delicious! Irish musicians played in the bar during the evening. Breakfast was really nice. We wanted to stay another night but sadly there was no availability. All the staff were brilliant! Cong is a beautiful gem. Don’t miss the stroll to view Ashford Castle. Also the ruined abbey and the new church. It’s beautiful at the bridge and along by the water, and you can find out about the filming of The Quiet Man!

The room was so spacious! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The windows let the light in nicely. The bathroom was nicely sized and the shower was great. Breakfast was a buffet, so we weren't expecting much, but the food was delicious. The outdoor seating area was nice looking. We didn't use it because it was raining. Denis was very welcoming and explained how to get to Ashford Castle for our Falconry experience. He assured us that it would still be on, even in the rain. We highly recommend Ryan's Hotel in Cong.

Really enjoyed our stay at Ryan’s Hotel Cong, great value, so friendly, comfortable room and enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the bar. We stayed here as it was handy before a wedding at Ashford Lodge but would definitely stay again ‘just for itself’.

Today has been the second time we have gone to the restaurant. The first time was one and a half month ago, my wife and I ate on the terrace. We looked at other people eating in the companion of their dogs. Today, we brought our dogs for a walk in the town and we came back to the terrace of that restaurant, thinking that it was pet-friendly. There was only a couple eating there, but nobody of the personal was aware of us, so we sat down and we were waiting for almost 10 minutes when the waitress arrived. To our surprise the first thing she said was that the dogs were not allowed. Before leaving, we recommended them to put a sign of not allowed dogs, have a better service for the customers and being more fair and clear with their admittance's policies. In addition, in our opinion the food was very regular and specially the Connemara smoked salmon was nothing like remarkable as It could be for a very expensive dish, I would even say that was very similar to any packed smoked salmon that you can buy in the supermarket…

Situated in Cong's main street. Although an old building, it has been really modernised with lovely rooms. The food was excellent, and staff extremely friendly. Car Park at the back was much larger than expected, but drive very slowly when entering main street as you could easily miss the narrow small entrance for it. There is a small car park sign towards the bottom of the facing wall OR you could look up to see the small Garda Sign hanging on the next door building immediately before the entrance. No lifts in hotel, but easy carpeted staircase to get to rooms. We particularly liked the adjustable reading lights attached to the headboard.
