After working in the relatively nearby Wrexham Industrial Estate, this place is a litte oasis of peace and calm. I'd been struggling to get a decent night's sleep in other busy hotels and found this beautiful B&B, surrounded by fields, the only noise is the morning birdsong. Kate the owner is a fantastic chef and the evening meals and breakfasts... More

With our two wonderful, but tiring children safely dropped off at the grandparents we were looking for a quiet break away from it all. The reviews on Alistair Sawday were promising, but this cottage and Kate's delicious food exceeded all our expectations. The cottage is crammed full of great books to enjoy, has an open fire and large TV in... More

I very much enjoyed having these guests to stay and it was a pleasure to let them lie-in in the morning. We decided there was definately a market here for exhausted parents who want to catch up on lost sleep and who dream about being able to stay in bed until lunch time! More

My search was for a stop over between the Cairnryan Ferry from Ireland and the Eurotunnel Terminal - Mulsford is exactly half-way. Absolutely perfect - the whitewashed cottage with its conservatory, the Cheshire countryside, the food (Kate's a pro chef), a sitting room fire, comfortable bedroom, beautiful garden.and more. On both occasions I have stayed Kate was out at the entrance... More

Unusually, bad weather was a bonus for our holiday break. As the rain poured down, Kate encouraged us to settle down for the day in front of the log fire and relax - and so the first day of our break passed peacefully and pleasantly as we caught up on our reading and were joined by Molly, the Staffie, who... If you need a break away from it all in a perfect and tranquil location this is the place for you. The welcome we received from the owner Kate was better than many 5 star hotels with the added bonus of a funny and entertaining dog named Molly. The service was excellent, including a lovely three course meal cooked and... More

It was a lovely sunny weekend for these guests so the conservatory was ideal for breakfast and supper. Still not hot enough to sweeten the grapes on the grapevine but maybe next year... In the meantime summer seems to be over so its time to light the fire in the evenings. More

If anyone takes the trouble to read the Tripadvisor reviews and the Mulsford Cottage website, they will know exactly what awaits should they choose to stay here. Everything was as described and as a result, just what we were looking for. Mulsford Cottage is an ideal base to visit many beautiful and fascinating local attractions such as Chirk Castle, Erdigg... I highly recommend this fantastic B&B to everyone. Kate and Molly made us feel so welcome and Kate went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was relaxing and comfortable. We arrived to a delicious home cooked meal, prepared by Kate (arranged in advance) and enjoyed a glass of wine in the wonderful gardens. Kate's dog Molly is... More

Mulsford Cottage B&B near Malpas in Cheshire is a gem of a place. The owner - Kate is very welcoming and we were made to feel at home at once - tea and cake on arrival in the lovely sitting/dining room which is for the exclusive use of guests. It was a pleasure looking after these guests and a good excuse to light the fire even though it is June and we should have been sitting in the garden! And great for Molly to have Eric the poodle cross for company for the afternoon. I always encourage guests to make use of the bathroom adjoining the shower room if... More

It's not easy to find somewhere to stay with a young, energetic dog without being on tenterhooks but Kate and Molly the staffie offered us wonderful accommodation that certainly ticked our boxes. We all enjoyed the walk through the fields and round the wood with Gem, the beautiful visiting Springer spaniel and hope they will be able to come again.
