Our stay at Stirabout was a lovely experience. Well appointed and spacious room. We took the time to relax in front of the open fire a few times, and the towels were the fluffiest we experienced on our 3 week trip around the countryside. Daphne was wonderful and made us feel more than welcome, she even did some washing for... More

Stayed but a night, but could have stayed many more. Daphne & Pat run a beautiful, organized, friendly, clean B&B. Pat combined his father's house with the neighboring townhouse and did a first rate job. Daphne has beautifully decorated the home and Pat's garden hidden out back will knock your socks off. A perfect stop to catch your breath after... More

We stayed two nights with Pat & Daphne and it was the best 2 nights of our Ireland trip! They were warm and friendly and Daphne even offered to do our laundry for us! What service! The rooms were spectacular! Spacious and clean and very well decorated! The breakfasts were amazing! It was so nice to get to talk fishing... More

A friend & I booked a double room in Stirabout Lane - we were hiking in nearby Glenmalure Valley & after a long day outdoors we couldn't resist climbing straight into these lovely beds. I was impressed with the decor, clean, candles lighting. Comfortable bed, & I had the single, slept well, rooms were comfortably warm, lovely linen. Fabulous breakfast... More

From the moment we walked into Stirabout lane B&B it felt warm and inviting, there was a radio inside the door and the smell of fruity candles gave off a very homely feel. The owners Daphne and Pat were personal and approachable, always checking if we needed anything. The bedroom had beautiful decor and the big wooden windows looked out... More

... we found this wonderful B&B... Small town, Main Street, few shops (one open at 06.30 AM Sunday even!), and an amount of pubs, and so comfy and friendly. Daphne, who runs the B&B, is a gem. She gives you hints to where to go and where to eat and what to see. And her breakfast can make you too... More

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for 1 night in November 2012 and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The rooms are a delight, the breakfast is delicious and varied and the hosts are more than welcoming. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the area and will definitely return!

My family and I stayed in this B&B in April 2011. The hosts were gracious, the room was large and immaculate, and the breakfast was the best we had during our 10-day trip to Ireland. Daphne made a dinner recommendation for us, and I wish I could remember the name of the restaurant because it was our best dinner in... More

This was an amazing place to stay. The rooms are beautifully set up and quite big. The house is larger than you would expect from the street. Breakfast is AMAZING! Daphne, our host, was lovely. Has parking and wifi. Close to Glendalough, Avoca & Powerscourt. We enjoyed our time here immensely and didn't want to leave. I would recommend this... More

Stirabout lane was our favorite stay during our week long visit throughout the north and south of Ireland. Of all the bed and breakfasts we stayed at in Ireland, Stirabout Lane in Rathdrum was the nicest. We were probably the youngest couple traveling the Irish countryside. Myself at 34 and my wife at 30. From young to old, absolutely everyone... More
