Lovely rooms with thoughtful touches as well as all the usual facilities. A great location for travelling - close to Bath, Bristol and the Somerset countryside. Really lovely breakfasts (with largely locally sourced ingredients) and a good choice. Very well run by Tim who is always able to give advice/help regarding the locality - what's on, where to eat, etc.... More

School Cottages is a truly superb Bed and Breakfast. We stayed there during the early May bank holiday and our experience was just fabulous. Tim (the host) was very welcoming, we've been served tea and biscuits upon arrival. The room was spotless, everything in order, super clean and very tidy. A three course breakfast was truly delicious with organic, local... More

School cottages is a very pretty B&B with a great mix of character features but restored to have a more contemporary feel on the inside. I stayed at the B&B for several days whilst on a course in Farmborough. I had a double en-suite room which was beautifully decorated with a lovely modern bathroom and great powerful shower. My room... More

We needed a little break away from the city me and my partner three weeks before our wedding. We had a very warm welcome from Tim who offered us a nice cup of tea in the lounge after showing us our room. The whole cottage was extremely clean and the outdoor space was beautifully looked after. In the morning Tim... More

My wife and I have stayed at this b&b twice now,and cannot find any fault with it,the rooms are lovely, location is smashing and the owner Tim welcomed us back with a pot of tea in the guest lounge. We will certainly come back to this b&b again,(soon hopefully)it is fabulous.

From the moment we arrived on Friday evening until we left on Sunday - nothing was too much trouble for Tim. Room was superb with facilities better than a 5 star hotel. Bed was so comfy we didn't want to get up. Although not great weather we still lingered in the beautiful gardens, looking at the plants and shrubs and saying... More

We stayed at the school cottages for a short city break (9/4 - 11/4). Tim Bee (the owner) greeted us when we arrived and offered tea and coffee in the guest lounge in front of a nice fire. He then told us everything that was on offer in Bath and gave us some great ideas of things to do. We... More

We stayed overnight at School Cottages whilst visiting Bath. Upon arrival we were met by Tim in the guests lounge, there was a lovely roaring fire and after being shown to our well appointed room he made us a pot of tea whilst he helped us to choose a place to eat our evening meal. The rooms were excellent and... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as we were going to a wedding at nearby Priston Mill. Our room was fabulous, really well appointed with a huge bed and a lovely en-suite. A very friendly welcome from Tim and good advice on nearby places to eat. Shame we weren't able to stay longer!

We have just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at School Cottages and just had to write a review because we had such good service. Easy to find, its location provided a perfect retreat for visiting Bath and nearby rural sites of interest (e.g. Chew Magna Lake + a plethora of local pubs/restaurants/farm shops). We had a very friendly... More
