We stayed in a two-room self contained unit in a lovely setting, surrounded by rivers and the forest. It was well equipped and contained everything that we needed for our one night stay. This was an amazing place for all ages. The river and bush setting was so refreshing. Although the whole of the North Island was experiencing a drought this was like an oasis. Everything here is clean, tidy and well maintained. But do take insect repellant, there are sandflies.

This is probably a great camping ground but if you are not on the camping side the "Park Studio Units" called rooms are quite basic and a bit overpriced. And if you unlucky enough (and we were) to spend monday night there the only restaurant "close by" (about 3 km away) will be closed. By the way- their deep freezer... More

We stayed in a tent here and had a great time, with plenty of activities for kids. Going down the rivers in tubes was good fun, as was swimming in the water hole with the rope swings. The facilities are excellent and the camp is in a lovely location surrounded by river on 3 sides.
