We stayed here and were hoping to ski at Mount Hutt but the wind closed the mountain so we drove to Porters and had a great day there. The lodge is great, particularly the restaurant. The meals aren't cheap but they are excellent. Open fire at the lodge completes the package. Highly recommended.

Rooms are a Great value. Very nice lodge and rooms, very modern style . Rates are cheap an includes wifi and breakfast. Restaurant is the best in town, excellent food. Great location and views. Hotel and restaurant staff is very nice.

Amazing place to stay close to Mount Hutt. Friendly and helpful staff made my trip even more enjoyable. The room was warm, clean and comfy with a good en-suite. We stayed in one of the apartments and it was excellent. Everything you need including a washing machine and Tumble dryer. The apartment was lovely and warm. Methven is excellently placed for Mount Hutt ski fields. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced.Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for three nights in August 2012. Staff incredibly helpful & friendly, great atmosphere in the guest lounge as well as the restaurant and bar. I stayed with 2 kids in an upstairs lodge room and we were all more than happy. Also ate at the restaurant which was reasonably priced with great food.

Highlight of my trip! My fiancé and I stayed here around two weeks ago and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the studios and they were immaculately clean and very comfortable. Free Internet and breakfast was appreciated and the staff were very helpful. Looking forward to visiting again in future.
