Good clean Motel spacious room & ensuite. Had stayed at this BK chain in another town and this one didn't disappoint. Always a bonus to have an on site laundry. We walked to a restaurant recommended by Host but I think you have to drive to find more casual eating. Road noise wasn't a problem for our unit.

No double glazing here, essential for accommodation on the main highway, so really really noisey through the night and especially from 6am. No plumbing noises however. Just a cheaply constructed, typical newish motel complex with nothing special or unique. Unpleasant room spray used which could almost taste, and stiff card like sheets. Generous with towels and cleanliness good.

The motor lodge is relatively new, and the quality of the rooms reflects that. We had a room with two single beds, and they were both very comfortable. It was a nice touch to have a kitchen for our use, and we appreciated having the room serviced every day. Well priced - I'd highly recommend staying here.

The outside of the Motel gives you an impression of a well maintained modern Motel....and has a qualmark rating of 4 - so the same rating as for example the Travelodge in Palmerston North (see my review).
