The best hotel I have ever stayed at. The architecture is extraordinary, the service was wonderful and the food was to die for. Really, what else could you want? Particular thanks to Lachlan in the kitchen - surely this guy is a food star in the making. More

Lovely, relaxing and out of the way place, beautifully renovated - the food really is exceptional so make sure that you stay at Torre di Morevola at least for one night. Service (especially at breakfast) is a fairly casual affair. There were 2-3 families with small children there when we were there which felt a little at odds with the... More

From the sensitive manner and polished style in which this medieval tower has been lovingly renovated, to the most welcoming and gracious hosts, to the delicious food (Lachlan...you are destinated to be famous), to the stunning panoramic views of the Umbria hills, to the peace and quiet, to the horizon swimming pool, to the hundreds of butterflies in the morning,... We recently spent five nights in this glorious retreat in the Umbrian hills. With only seven rooms, this is an intimate, peaceful luxury escape - an ancient watch tower converted into a minimalist haven. We stayed in the West Suite but on arrival Seonaid, the owner, showed us around the other suites - all of which had their own character.... More

Although the weather was not our best friend in July, we spend five wonderful days in this architectural gem. With seven suites, a large sitting room, a beautiful cold (sun-heated) pool, WiFi all the comfort is there. The restaurant with the food made with simple ingredients, some of them out of the garden was great. I definitely would recommend this... More

Il Torre is very much a state of mind; exemplified by the couple with the vision to tackle such a project; Chris' attention to detail which verges on OCD; their resolve to complete the challenge when the going got tough and the budget evaporated, or perhaps the host's laid back yet professional manner which immediately infects you with the Moravola... I won't go on because we posted a review last year and we still feel the same after another visit this year but more. Suffice to say, can't fault it, don't hesitate, just go! More

We intended to drive around Umbria and Tuscany for a week with no plans other than some ideas we saw on the internet and through Tablet...We arrived at Moravola on a weekday afternoon, met our hosts and never wanted to leave. Seonaid is deeply steeped in the history of the area and its villages and will give you great advice... More

my wife & I stayed here for 2 nights last week. Finding the place may be a challenge and driving there on a narrow unsurfaced road for several miles - even more chalanging. However - if you are lucky enough to get there - it is worth it ! An old ruined tower has been beautifully restored by architect Christofer... More
