Stayed here in august 2011 and with it being Achill, we expected great things as we'd heard how good the place was. Wrong...small outdated rooms, which are not cheap to say the least. Poor quality pints and a disco that keeps you awake no matter what room you're in until the early hours of the morning...not good if you've got... More

We landed late to the hotel to check in. To starters the receptionest could not find our booking when he eventually did he wasn't very helpful! When arriving in our room we found it very small with a dirty carpet and curtains that where that tired that they no longer met in the middle! We went down stairs to the... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the Achill Head Hotel, Keel, and found it to be very relaxing. Our room was adequate for 2 people and bathroom, although small, was also adequate. The food was extremely good, choice at breakfast was full Irish or continental. Help yourself to starters of juice, cereal and fruit and yogurt. Evening meals were beautifully... More

This was our first trip to Achill, which itself, is a beautiful island. However, our experience at this hotel was not very good at all. The customer service was severely lacking and the room (especially the bathroom) was entirely too small--even for one person, much less two! But most dissapointing of all, we were told there was an 80s disco... More

The room way TINY for two adults and one child. The beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in, would have been better sleeping in a tent on the ground in the local campsite.

lovely hotel for our family of 5, nice cleanooms, food was good.,but would consider this hotel to have a serious issue with noise...the bar and the disco next door kept ourselves awake till 3 each of the three out of the four nights we stayed. The rooms definitly need sound proofing. I think this hotel is more into night entertainment... More
