One of the worst meals I have ever had. Shop brought pizza and the service very poor and over priced. The staff were more intrested in talking in the kitchen than serving the guest and music was very loud coming from the kitchen.

Four of us dined here 12/05/2013, and although we've been here several times before and it's always been good, thought today's carvery was brilliant and would recommend to anybody. There is always a guest beer which has always been very acceptable. Hugh Jones Skipton

Forget Toby with your shoddy peas! This is the carvery to come too. Real veg, leeks in white sauce, carrot and turnip mashed, real roasties and plenty of meat best around! Love ly staff also eaten off normal menu my husbands jacket was huge and my real beef baguette and real chips was yum!!!

Recently stayed overnight and found the staff helpful in contrast to other comments on this site. The room was clean and served a purpose but suffered from noise with other guests coming and going. Breakfast was adequate if a bit expensive at £10.95 similarly the room was expensive for what it was. Overall - acceptable
