We travelled from Australia and spent a week here with our 7 year old daughter in Autumn and could easily have stayed a lot longer! It is in a beautiful location, with a view over forests toward Sansepolcro and the Tiber Valley. Our host, Beatrice, was delightfully helpful. The FarmhouseLa Scheggia, a typical example of Grand-Ducal architecture, is a small rural hamlet dating back to the 15th century that was completely restored in the ‘80s under the Building Authority of Arezzo. The building belong to Tuscany's Historic Houses Association. It is a large farmhouse made up of 7 apartments and 3 detached houses with one big swimming pool surrounded by a garden. The apartments are completely furnished and all have a kitchen. The restoration of the buildings was carried out in observance of the simplicity of the old rural dwellings built with stone, terracotta tiles and chestnut beams.
