This has been my first and probably last ski trip to Austria. I am going to stick to France and Switzerland in future for ski-ing. This hotel has the most unfriendly, rude, patronising staff on the reception desk. We arrived yesterday for a week's ski-ing and if we could, we would leave today. The women on reception have no manners,... More

This hotel really helped make out holiday perfect. Was a great place to relax after a day on the slopes, staff were very friendly and always tried to help. Waiters were great especially one 'janos' he was fantastic and always made sure we had what we needed. Food was good always a good choice and all cooked very well. Generally... More

Just returned after a week's stay with my family and friends. Having stayed here 11 years ago, we thought we would return with the family and introduce it to our friends, who were experiencing their first family skiing holiday. We had a great stay; lovely family suite, great food & reasonably priced good house wine , fantastic spa & pool... More

Our first trip to the Gastein area and on the whole an OK experience. This hotel was centrally located for the town, but a bit of a walk to the ski lift. Food was generally of good quality, but breakfast was a bit the same. Evening meals were varied, tasty and well presented, although a bit speedy in the service... More

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour operator package. Having stayed in a number of package tour hotels over the years I can definately say this was the best so far. Excellent room with good facilities and a balcony and veiw of the mountains. The single room was spacious and had the advantage of an innner lobby... More

I have been to Bad Hofgastein before and stayed at the Germania which is also a fine hotel. This time I had a package from Crystal ski holidays for the Osterreichischerhof - a week from 19th January. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of town. Next shops, banks etc. You can easily walk to the Schlossalm ski lift... More

Having spent most of my skiing holidays in Austria, one of the things I look forward to most is the 'gemutlichkeit' or welcome that one gets from the Austrian hostelry owners - go back a second time, even if years later, and you are welcomed like an old friend. If it is your first time, in my previous experience, they... More

We stayed here this week last year because we enjoy this hotel and resort so much. Remarkably the lady owner remembered us which was amazing as she must see thousands of guests each year :) Lots of skiing and boarding for my husband and lots of shopping and Spa time for me! It's such a pretty area and this hotel... More

This hotel has so much going for it, the location, the building and food. However it is missing some important human qualities - service is functional, in contrast to many Austrian hotels, and the absence of a bar in which to have those important après-ski conversations is a real shame. Also the hotel rooms are fine, a little small, but... More

We stayed at this hotel (with Crystal) as a family of four (children aged 8 and 5) over the Christmas period 2012. The hotel is cosy, very well decorated and very very hot! Our room was a little small for the four of us. We had the bedroom which was a twin room - but with a single bed too... More
