Honestly not as bad as some contributors suggest. Yes it is dated and it is an inconvenience that the bedroom is situated on a mezzanine floor, when the bathroom is downstairs. Also the host lacks people ( or maybe language) skills. However it is a bargain in expensive Hanmer Springs and provided a full kitchen and all the normal facilities...

Did not find this place as bad as your other reviews but maybe they have tidied up their act since then! Arrived in the evening after a long days drive and the only place we could find that still had rooms. We are a family of 4 and the unit was very spacious and appeared clean if a bit tired...

This place is in need to some TLC!!! Property is overgrown and no attempt has been made to clean it up. We were supposed to have a full kitchen but only had a kitchenette in our one bedroom unit. The walls are paper thin you can hear everything going on next door!!! Dont stay in this hell hole. If you...

Dirty, dingy, dark and damp. In the 17 days in NZ this was by far the worst accommodation we endured. We were afraid to sit on the stained dirty furniture or carpet, you need to be cross eyed to watch anything on the miniature TV and the whole place looked unkept and uncared for. Do yourself a favour and spend...

It does look like a concrete block fresh from the 80's and the interior is no better!!. But to be fair it was tidy,...

We booked for school holidays. Only space left with 2 bedroom unit - we discovered why and wished we had read reviews first. It was once reasonable accommodation but has not been maintained cleaned or kept up to date.
The most uncomfortable soft bed ever with stained duvet and sheets. Stained worn furniture thick with polished dirt, may have been...

This was the first night of our long awaited holiday. The room was badly maintained and we had to put towels in the shower on the floor as there were so many rips it was unhygenic. The bedding valances were half off the bed and the beds were badly made. Lawns were overgrown and the door locks were all loose....
