Just returned from 4 days at this hotel- what a location! It's perfect for the ferries that run all over the place , and they are efficiently run. The outlook from our Lake View room was fabulous, and the bonus is that the balcony is big enough to enjoy. The hotel itself is beautiful, typically Italian, with a big entrance... More

We were here at the end of April, before the hotel was really busy. Nonetheless the restaurant was pretty full and the service efficient and friendly. Good buffet breakfast and 4 course dinner with buffet ante-pasta and sweet with excellent choices. We whittled it down to three going for the Italian specialities of ante-p and pasta course leaving room for... More

We stayed at this hotel in April, we booked with The Travel Department, originally we were booked at the Bazzoni Hotel in a same village of Tremezzo, but on route from the airport the rep advised us we were being (Collectively) offered an up grade due to 250 students staying in the Bazzoni so we all agreed and spent a... Unfortunately the week we were staying it was very wet so did not see the Lake or the Hotel at its best. The position overlooking the Lake is excellent, although has the busy Lake road directly in front of it and there isn't much to do in the immediate area. The view from the restaurant was lovely and the staff... More

We were lucky to get a room with a view of Lake Como. The ceilings are high and the furnishings are elegant. They have a beautiful breakfast buffet on the 5th floor overlooking the lake that is included with the room price. The lobby is expansive and well done. The Wi Fi is sporadic and we had to go to... Hotel is early 20th century elegant - grand stair way & entrance hall hosting an art exhibition when we were there. The restaurant is on the top floor with stunning views of lake - come early or definitely mid evening for a window seat! Food very good - buffet breakfast, buffet anti-pasta and sweet - again best to come early!... More

Very nice, elegant hotel right on the waterfront (there is the road to cross). The dining room is huge, but what a view! Dinners are good for hotel food and the view was of a full moon rising over opposite Bellagio. Breakfast, served outside on the terrace in the sunlight, just heaven. Check out the AMAZING gazebo on the 4th... More

We were on a package holiday with Travel Department. Originally destined for the 3 star Hotel Balzonni, we were upgraded to this 4 star hotel. The poor points:- the shower enclosure was on the small side, the meals were very similar. The good points:- there was unlimited and controllable hot water ever time we showered. H There was a 4... I wont repeat every other detail people have mentioned. I will say that after reading the comments about needing decorating and being shabby prove that some people are never happy. The decor is old fashioned but walking through the door takes you back to an era of maggie smith doing afternoon tea with some old colonel. You could step back... More
