We stumbled upon the Pink Elephant Pension purely by chance. Having arrived in Rhodes without a hotel booking and having been told all the main hotels were overbooked, we took to the side streets to find some accommodation. A clean room, crisp, fresh linen on the beds and a hot bath were all very welcome. Our room on the first... More

The only conceivable problem with The Pink Elephant Pension is it's improbable name. It was a challenge to find it but the location turned out to be great! It's away from the touristy shops clustered at the entrance to the old town that appeal to the cruise ship visitors and so it's like living in a real neighborhood. We found... More

In the Easter week 2012 we stayed 9 days in this cosy and charming pension right in the old town of Rhodes. There are many good - and still not too touristic - restaurants close by where we enjoyed nice dinners. By being in the medieval part of the town the pension is perfect for strolls in the small roads,... More

We stayed at the Pink Elephant that is situated inside the walled city in May. The rooms were clean, very basic, cheap and a stone's throw from the medieval town. The lady in charge, Maria is Italian and speaks greek, french, englisnh and italian. Getting to the hotel is a bit of a challenge as the maze of small streets... More

We arrived in the evening and Mari was there to greet us. We walked from the commercial port and with the Rough Guide Old Town map in hand, were able to find the Pink Elephant without any problems. The room was on the ground level in the court yard. It was small but just as we had expected; full of... More

This place was ok, but the rooms were not very clean. The fan was a small desk one, so not much air circulation, so the room was very hot and stuffy.

The best part was our arrival, Maria was waiting for us with our room ready at 8am as we rolled in tired from an overnight ferry. The location is excellent and quiet. The breakfast was good. The only complaint is that the directions to find it were sketchy at best, and we found it mostly because we had a gps... More

Stayed one night in this authentic little pension. Location fabulous - in old town not far from shops etc. Room very basic - beds and basin. Shared bathroom and toilet. Unfortunately it was warm in the room so had to leave windows open - got very little sleep because of mosquitoes, dogs barking and aeroplanes overhead. My friends in another... More

On our two week trip, the first interntional flight was cancelled and we had to reschedule our entire trip. I called 10 days before the reservation and she still wanted to charge half of the hotel charge. If I cancelled one or two days before hand I would understand, this just seemed dishonest.

We stayed 3 nights in early October at the start of a tour of Rhodes, Symi and Turkey. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned 2 weeks later for a further 2 nights to end our mini-tour. Mari, the owner, seems fluent in Greek, Italian, English and French so was able to help us a lot with recommendations... More
