Great place. There is a Nice restaurant but also a kitchen with a lot of hamacs. The owner is very friendly and you will probably stay here more than initially planned. Ask to get à room on the first floor, the place is just perfect! Each room gets is owm bathroom.
The owner of the hostel, Cesar, keeps the premises well-maintained. He helped us out a lot during our travels and couldn't be nicer. The pizza is delicious! - Guy
We camped at Hostel del Mar for a bit over a week in March. We'd been traveling through central america and watching our budget so chose camping, though we did look longingly at the a/c and clean beds, since those don't come standard in our tent. This place was great with the parking, and wonderful atmosphere!
