I was here for an overnight. Agree with the other reviews- quirky but OK. Nice room and best night sleep in a long time. Don't expect to have 24 hour attention, if you have a need you will probably have to dig the host out of his homw in the back of the hotel.

The Mansion House was built as early as 1681, although its style is that of a Queen Anne period house. Best known as the birth place of Norman Angell Lane (Nobel peace prize winner of 1933)who was born in this his family home in 1872. This fine historic building was restored in 2005 to the beautiful hotel it is today, serving freshly prepared meals daily with a public bar and gardens.
