I was here for an overnight. Agree with the other reviews- quirky but OK. Nice room and best night sleep in a long time. Don't expect to have 24 hour attention, if you have a need you will probably have to dig the host out of his homw in the back of the hotel.

What a treat - quirky, individual independant hotel which had its own charm! The cellar bar and dining area was great and full of character, the bedroom was clean and also characterful tucked up in the attic. I stayed here with a few colleagues for one night for a local business meeting. Richard, the proprieter, was cheerful, helpful and nothing... More

We booked 2 of the cottages at the back of the Mansion House Hotel as we were visiting my in-laws for their 55th wedding anniversary party at their home nearby. So the location was spot on for us. Slight delay at the start as the main front door to the hotel was locked & we were unsure where to go... More

Stayed at the masion house hotel for my wife's 40th birthday as we had plans in spalding. This is a fantastic personal hotel that you don't get from the big chain hotels. The hotel was full of character and was very clean, we had a large room with 4 poster and period features, was an amazing retreat away from the kids!... More

Having to travel on a regular basis for business purposes I was originally looking for a small hotel suited to the needs of the business traveller working in the Lincolnshire area. Having stayed at many places previously Travel Lodges, Premier Travel Inns and other hotel chains, I was looking for hotel that filled the following criteria:- Small informal hotel -... More

Have stayed in the Mansion house hotel numerous times by now. Mainly stayed there during business trips and feel at home from the minute of stepping in. The owner and his family are really friendly and always willing to help you hope with whatever issue you have. The rooms are clean, nice and very cozy. The food is definitively something... More

We arrived after a long cycle ride to find another couple waiting outside a locked hotel. They eventually contacted the owner to be told where their room key was hidden, however he had no idea about us, in spite of making a credit card reservation 2 wks prior as it was our wedding anniversary treat. He told me it was... More

We attended an outside wedding reception at the end of June and can honestly say even though we all had a good night and celebrated the bride and groom’s big day, the venue did not provide a service fit for the occasion. It was supposed to have seating arranged in a marquee at the back of the hotel – there... More

Thank you for your review. We realise that a Bride and Grooms day is always a special one. We are a small family run hotel and offer an informal service at a price to suite an individual couples budget. The couple in question had been in on several occassions to discuss with us their requirements and budget for their day.... More
