Dumaguete is an underrated city with a surprising number of really good restaurants and nearby spots for enjoying the sea. Due to change in management, Sta. Even though the resort was closed for major remodeling the new managment alowed us to stay which i thought was above and beyound what any other resort would do for you. We spent the month of june there we are hoping thy will have a room ready for us when we return in september. I would refer anyone to this... More

As a resort, it will definitely fail. It's old, not well-maintained and pool is not very clean. It's far from the city center with a bad road from the highway. It needs serious renovation. There is no beach except at low tide when the black sand is covered with rubbish. The pool is filthly - difficult to see the bottom and during the 2 days we stayed the filter if there was one never switched on. This was an ok stay for the price but not much more than that. The outside of the hotel looked quite nice, although the "beach" is quite typical, more like rough coral reef. from 1-10 its a 4.the place is ok... the family rooms are huge and its not that expensive.we were able to get 30% discount.food is ok.you cant pay corkage fee at all.so u really have to buy food there or go somewhere else.staff are friendly.the pool is dirty.!there was even crab in the pool. and beach is also super dirty.you... Smelly black water, garbage, a lot of concrete and NO BEACH! Odd concrete buildings from the seventies, populated mostly by Koreans. Interior old and smelly. Restaurant quite expensive considering the very small portions.
