Stayed here for a friends wedding and loved it. I've visited Ohau on several occasions but never actually visited the lodge - I've been missing out! The place is full of character and the atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly. The people running the place are doing a fantastic job.

This lodge is right on one of the South Island's beauty glacier lakes, and is quite a stunning, isolated property. Be prepared for no telephone reception, or wi-fi, or TV, or radio though! Such a beautiful location isolated from all the noise of everyday life, great views and a friendly welcome from this family hotel. Rooms and food were good and sitting out and watching the stars without light pollution was a treat. Would have loved another couple of nights there.
