We were on a road trip (from the UK) of California for three weeks and visited Yosemite after our first 4 nights for a three night stay at Housekeeping Camp. We couldn't have loved Yosemite more - so very beautiful and I am very glad we stayed at Housekeeping Camp due to the proximity of everything. Loved the squirrels and... More

It was late September and we stayed at Housekeeping Camp on the river and it was fantastic. Even if you have never really camped out (and this isn't exactly roughing it), it is a good place to experience camping with kids. Yes, it is a little old but we found it clean and enjoyable. The walls of the units are... More

Spent two nights here at the end of September. Yes it is basic, and if it wasn't for the fact that the weather was superb I am not sure what I might be saying. I have camped in many places but this way down my list of happy memories - except for the fantastic views and sunsets. The staff in... More

Really enjoyed my first visit to Housekeeping Camp over Labor Day Weekend. The place was alive with families, and everyone was having a good time. While the accommodations were pretty rustic, I was surprised how comfortable and easy camping here was with a group of people. I would come back in a heartbeat. It was such a fun and relaxed... More

We paid about $90/night for two nights at the Yosemite Housekeeping camp. We found the tent cabin to be disgusting. It was dirty, moldy and old trash left in the tent including used kleenex from prior guests. The cabins are duplex with neighbors on the opposite side of the tent. We had people with 2 babies move in the other... More

Very convenient and good value, this is the perfect place to "camp" in the park with all the comfort needed. Very nice to spend time with friend. Try to book one of the tent near the river if you can; best spot. Also very convenient: grocery store inside, ice, lundry service, ... More

This was my first time camping. Camping is not for me. I think if you like the tent camping you'll like Housekeeping. I would prefer a hotel or cabin. The "rooms" are clean. It's cement. It seemed to be in the middle of everything. There is also a bus stop for the Yosemite bus that goes around the park. They... More

This was our 3rd visit in the past 4 years. We stayed in canvas tents in Housekeeping camp. We had 2 river units with a beautiful view and 1 non river unit. My 19 year old son and his friends stayed in the non river unit . We stayed in the river unit with our daughter and niece and my... More

We love this place. We spent seven nights with two other couples. Rather than using the bunkbeds we folded them up and put a queen air mattress on the floor. We gv our friends the bed. Worked great. Love the firepit and how close we were to the river, bridge and sandy beach. Ask for a unit away from the... More

Yosemite is my favorite place on earth, far and away. I hadn't intended to stay at Housekeeping Camp, but after some critical backpacking equipment failed and ruined my back country camping plans, Housekeeping was the only available option that night. Housekeeping Camp is essentially three walls and a concrete slab holding a bunk bed and double bed, a picnic table,... More
