McNutt house was our lodging choice in Vicksburg simply based on price (Governor's Suite was only $85, including tax) but after driving around town it was obvious that McNutt is also in the best location. If you are looking for a period house with lots of antiques and character, try one of the other more expensive B&B's in town. We had to change our reservation to a night earlier than planned, but the owner was helpful and it was no problem at all. He was also very knowledgeable about the house and the area. The house is gorgeous and full of beautiful furniture too. It was really inexpensive and also in a great location.

The hospitality we received was par excellence, our room was clean, comfortable and cozy. The location was serene and peaceful with a country type setting, yet conveniently located to all the area attractions. Thank you so much for making our vacation a true joy.
