Aloha~ Aston at the Waikiki Banyan is fabulous! Reading the reviews I was leery but happily my personal experience was wonderful. Aston Banyan is in a great location.Close to beach(short 2 blk walk), good restaurants (so many options!), the zoo & Kapiolani Park. We could easily walk with our toddler, surfboard and beach gear and be on my favorite beach... More

We just checked out of the Banyon after a one week stay. As expected (thanks to Trip Advisor reviews!), we were not surprized that the decor was so out of date. We requested Tower 1 as Tower 2 was under renovations (to the outside at least). We were given room 1713 which was spacious, albeit worn and badly in need... More

This is our 2nd year staying here & unfortunately this trip was disappointing. We have rented privately owned units bith times ( 1st thru owner ) & this trip a unit thru Koko resorts management company and based on the unit description made our choice. The decription was not accurate with some items on our must have list being so... More

After paying $5300 in airfares to spend 2 weeks in Hawaii from sydney I am regretful that we didn't spend a bit more money and book a better hotel. This hotel is a couple of blocks from beach and shops/restaurants. Bus stop is very close too. I would probably like to be closer to the beach but its quiet. Requested... More

Just got back from staying 7 nights at the Aston Waikiki Banyan. The location is 2 blocks away from Waikiki Beach and all of the shops and restaurants. The condo has a everything you need to visit with kids and not have to spend a lot of money eating out at restaurants. There isn't anything special about the look.....outdated but... More

We stayed in roon 1807, and could not believe how bad it waw! Cupboards were pressed board, formica countertops in kitchen & bath, no dishwasher, window air conditioning, ratty kitchen chairs & counter, stained ceiliings, all in need of paint! Bedding changed every 3 days! And this was far from the "cheap" rooms. Parking $12 per day or $72 per... More

Pool slated to reopen on 14 April. So, if this is a consideration I would look elsewhere. Maintenance is being performed in units as well...but they are very considerate about noise. I usually stay in Privately owned condos that I rent through property management and have been pleased. But pool closure this time made me sad! Otherwise good location, property,... More

We stayed at the Banyan in Sept 2012 for 5 days. we had a beautiful renovated ocean view suite with full kitchen. I looked at other suites in the hotel and can tell you that the Banyan is under renovations and that they are working with the owners to upgrade the suites. Great location and away from the noise of... More

Tennis court closed for an undetermined period of time. Swimming pool closed 9 days for renovation. Water supply to room cut off 1/2 day for maintenance. Daily cleaning at 5pm; very inconvenient. Mandatory daily charge of 15 USD for wifi and free movie rentals. However, dvd player in room has parental lock set, so could only be used for cartoon.... More

This hotel is a good place to stay if you are interested in being located near where all the action is. Staying here puts you are blocks away from the beach, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Rooms are condo-style: simple, with a pull-out couch bed, and possibly a kitchenette. This is more like a no-frills place, but is valuable when it... More
