We were not told of this before booking on priceline. This has added an extra $60!!! to our stay. This is bait and switch advertising as well as poor business practice. You get water, parking the gym and shuttle for $60. What a crock! More

Accomodations were great, front desk a bit overwhelmed due to some weddings staying at the hotel. Fantastic location, with shuttle to downtown - very convenient. Prices included a "resort fee" which was a waste if you wanted to go off hotel property. More

Spent a night for a girls weekend. Front desk personnel were extremely helpful and accomodating. Bar waitress not so much. Requested connecting rooms and received them. Shuttle to town, nice service. Great place to stay. More

This smallish hotel reeks class. Different, but beautiful design. Relaxed high end ambience. Cloes to town, yet seems (its own master). Off the beaten path, yet the shuttle service to town, is at your becken call. We only ate breakfast, but was excellent. After spending the day in and around Newport, crossing the bridge to this hotel, seemed to make... More

Checked in for New Year's Eve celebration with a group of friends. Friends took advantage of an email 'upgrade' offer and were placed in Owner's Suite for minimal money. While still a one- bedroom suite, there was a kitchen/bar area with living room with multiple sofas and chairs. Great place to ring in the new year! Valets were very attentive... More

Seeking a destination for our family to celebrate Christmas day and spend two nights, we selected Newport, Rhode Island. My husband and I enjoy the mansion tours, are now Newport Historical Society members, so we wanted to take our two daughters and our little dog for a family trip. Selecting the ideal hotel was important. A pet-friendly place with two... More

My husband and I have been coming to Newport, RI for over 30 years. Back in the day, this location was not only the only game in town, but also very nice. We would stay in the Captain's Quarters where most of the rooms have small balconies overlooking the bay. Over the years, this hotel has become more and more... More

Writing this from my second room of our trip. The paper thin walls here gave me the pleasure of listening to our neighbor coughing and blowing her nose all night. To make matters worse, this hotel is pet friendly so w got woken up by a howling dog in the room above us. The front desk told me they would... More

Dear TripAdvisor Guest: We appreciate that you have shared your recent guest experience on this TripAdvisor site. My apologies that you had a bad experience at our swimming pool. We were hosting a kid’s hockey tournament during your visit with us and when they were not playing hockey they apparently all congregated at our indoor pool. Our security staff did... More

We decided at the last minute to visit Newport to see the Mansions before Christmas. We stayed at the Hyatt Goat Island. The staff was warm and welcoming on arrive. The room was a little on the small size but fine for the amount of time we stayed in it. As members of AAA, we were provided a breakfast meal... More

On a spur of the moment, last minute trip to beautiful Newport, we took a chance and called the Hyatt Regency to see if they had any rooms. Literally on the road we called! And yes, they had availability. The woman on the phone said they had a special for $98, king with water view. So we thought about it... More
