This place is average. For close to the same money, first check for availability in the nicer places in Downtown Newport. Two complaints with this place: 1) If you book through a site like Travelocity, they treat you like a red headed step child. 2) I wasted money booking a "Deluxe" room only to find out that deluxe at best... This Best Western is a couple of miles from downtown Newport. It has its own restaurant and an outside pool. Very clean with large rooms. I would definitely stay here again. More

The 4th floor suites are so much better than the downstairs rooms it is worth getting a deal. The restaurant is operated separately from the hotel so you can't charge the meals but that is a minor inconvenience. Good value and a really helpful and pleasant team on reception (or front desk for North Americans!). More

This is a typical Best Western hotel, although larger than some and a little less personal as a result. Stayed here for naval graduation. This place needs a major update. The carpeting in the shared areas is old and very dirty. The hotel also has a smell to it. Our room smelled something like mold being covered up by an obnoxious fragrance? Noticed this strongly every time entering the room. Also found the room not to be the cleanest.... More

6 of us went, and had 3 rooms, the rooms were clean, and they were moderately priced for Summer travel. I would stay here again. More
