Great place with a great location. Denise was very hospitable and accommodating. Perfect central location to walk to most Newport attractions. Short walk to excellent restaurants and shopping. I will stay there again.

The house is just off Thames Street, so you can leave your car and walk to the harbor shops and restaurants. When I arrived, the smell of freshly baked bread was wonderfully inviting. There were 5 rooms on the second floor- mine was small, but clean and the bathroom was updated. If you are in Newport, you shouldn't be spending... More

My boyfriend and I went to Newport from Cape Cod for a weekend away over Veterans Day Weekend - and we had the perfect time! The location is perfect, plus there is off-street parking which is extremely helpful, and the Inn provides everything you need in every way. The rooms are very clean, the bed was very comfy with high... More

Five of us Connecticut ladies (middle age!) decided to take a trip to Newport in October...I have stayed at the Fair Street Inn several times with my fiance and it has always been my favorite (very romantic and cozy). Well, I have to tell you the Fair Street Inn ended up being the BEST girls weekend away we have had!... More

Very convenient location. The innkeepers were great hosts, very welcoming and gave us an overview of things to do but respected our privacy. Very good made to order breakfast. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit. There was a small, decently outfitted kitchen, which we didn't use. We stayed 3 nights. It was quiet with only the occasional street... More

My husband and I just stayed at Fair Street for two nights this past weekend. What a lovely place! The location is perfect - on a quiet, side street within walking distance of everything - dining, shopping, points of interest, etc. They provide off-street parking, which is great because parking seems to be a bit difficult in Newport. The rooms... More

Very clean B&B located right in the center of Newport downtown but on a quiet side street. We were able to park our car there and walk to everything. Delicious breakfast served. We ate in a nice enclosed porch overlooking gorgeous flower gardens. Very good value, would not hesitate to stay there again.

My husband and I just returned from Newport Rhode Island and we stayed 2 nights at the fair Street Guest house! It was more than wonderful from location, clean rooms, amazingly landscaped grounds and perfect breakfast daily! Free Wifi too which always help but the help of the two Innkeepers Wayne and Denise was more than enough from where to... More

The location is fantastic as you are only steps away from Thames yet in a quiet side street. It consists of three seperate houses. Our room had a seperate bedroom with an additional twin bed for our four year old. A very kid friendly B@B with a full breakfast and parking right on premises which is great in this town.... More
