Three night stay at this B&B could not have been better. The B&B is in a beautiful, and beautifully kept and furnished, old home. It is filled with old but comfortable furniture. It's one block from the mansions on King William street (and Madison St. has a mansion and many beautiful homes as well). Right off King William street is... More

Just spent three wonderful days in San Antonio at the Brackenbridge House B&B. Excellent breakfast every day, made to feel very welcome by Lilly who even put the Union Jack out on the main balcony in our honour. Our room and ensuite were charming and totally self contained. Would definately go again when in San Antonio!

We have experienced several B&Bs in the past three years and Brakenridge House is one of the best. Lily and Roland have attended to every need in the charming, period-pieced rooms and suites. The bed was more comfortable than our home bed!. The King William district is steeped in history, enjoyable walking throughout including local eateries. The house is just... More

My husband and I flew from Boston to meet our Chicago friends for a long weekend getaway in San Antonio. After reading reviews of lodging options, we agreed on Brackenridge House. The location in King William is an easy walk to Riverwalk and the Alamo at a more affordable price than the major downtown hotels. Our first floor Wren Suite... More

I found this place online and we were pleasantly surprised to find it on a tree-lined street in a residential neighborhood. Our room was charming, the amenities abundant, and the breakfast delicious. The attention to detail is evident everywhere. The room was clean and well stocked with towels, toiletries, snacks, and drinks, including brandy, wine, beer, soda and water. The... More

We just got back from 4 nights at the Brakenridge, and we are planning to go back again. The accommodations were comfortable, the location great and the hosts met our every request. Our room had Port and chocolates on the dresser; the kitchenette had everything needed to brew a pot of coffee; a couple of sodas, a beer and a... More

Short ride from the airport. In the king Williams district of San Antonio, a lot of neat restaurants and bars within walking distance. We were lucky to get the Wren's Nest Suite, it had a fridge and microwave the antiques made very thing charming. Our first breakfast was hot muffins, fruit, Danish pancakes, and the best coffee. Lilly cooked even... More

Our stay at the Brackenridge was wonderful. It is in a great area with superb restaurants within walking distance. You have to try Liberty Bar, El Mirador & La Foccacia they were all great. As for the Breakfast @ the Inn, I can only say it was outstanding and our host Lilly is absolutly charming and very sociable. We cannot... More

Our amiable host, Lily, dished up outstanding breakfast fare...eggs benedict one morning followed by the best french toast (with filling) ever. Our large "Cardinal" room was very comfortable, well appointed and period perfect with antique furniture and an outside entry. Nice touches included free wine, beer and beverages in the fridge--even a decanter of brandy on the dresser. The large... More

We loved this place as well as the owner. Our room was so pretty and comfy. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long walk on the riverwalk. Breakfast was amazing. Lily was so sweet and thinks of everything you might want or need in your room - even going as far as having a Port and chocolates sitting on... More
