Love this hotel and its history. For those that do not know it is a former Masonic Lodge. The check in staff is very efficient and quite nice. The hotel is in a nice location and walking distance to the Dunkin' Center and Convention Center. More

My first stay at the Renaissance Providence was only 4 weeks after the hotel opened. We couldn't have asked for more! Great price, gorgeous decor throughout the hotel, perfectly clean rooms (and not just because they were new -- excellent housekeeping staff), and an amazingly accommodating front desk staff. The hotel is adjacent to the State House, a beautiful historic... More

This was a very typical Marriott - very nice with a nice Marriott bed. We requested a rollaway which they provided- really big one and comfy for my daughter. The bathroom was so pretty - nice shower and many nice touches with the shampoos, etc. We ordered room service which was quick and really delicious (we had the flatbread pizza).... More

The Renaissance in Providence is a gem, a re-converted Masonic temple, only a block from the massive Providence Mall. Everything about our experience at this hotel was terrific. It had a wonderful gym, the staff was exceptionally helpful, and the location across from the State Capitol was fantastic. Great view of the Capitol building from our room, which was spacious... Arrived Sunday night - $28 for valet parking (in Providence!??) Burger at the bar was way overcooked (possibly "double-cooked") Asked for a wake-up call. Never received one. Housekeeping was banging on the doot at 8 AM (even though there was a newpaper on the floor outside of the room!) Won't be back..... More

This is a great location if you are heading to Providence, Rhode Island. Rooms are large, clean and location is perfect. You can walk everywhere and great restaurants are located nearby (within walking distance). We went for New Year's Eve and had a wonderful time. Get a room overlooking the Capital.
