This B&B is far better than most of the B&B's I've ever been to. The house is big, and old, and it is so cozy that you will feel at home right away. The lady that is running this house is amazing, and really cares about what she does, and how you feel. She makes great breakfasts and is always... More

For those who enjoy staying in a B&B that truly feels like someone's home (as opposed to a boutique hotel), Annie Brownell House is for you. Annie Tunderman, the owner, is as described in the positive reviews below - friendly, gracious, and accommodating, an excellent hostess. I had fascinating conversations with Annie and the other guests at both breakfasts. My... More

Annie Brownell House fit our needs perfectly with its location, rooms, breakfasts, and hostess/owner. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room and bathroom impeccably clean. Annie Tundermann was most accommodating, friendly, and pleasant throughout our 4-day stay, making us feel at home. Breakfasts were always delicious as well as healthy. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed overnight and had a large front room on the second floor with a private bath. House is on a busy street, but I had no problem with the traffic outdoors. The owner is very gracious and willing to help you feel at home. The home is close to Brown University--about a mile away perhaps. Several rooms have their own... More

I loved staying at this beautiful and charming home while visiting my daughter who attends Brown. The location could not be better... walking distance. This was my first opportunity to visit a Bed and Breakfast and I was not disappointed. The owner Annie Brownell has done a fantastic job making the rooms comfortable ,homey and amazingly clean. Thank you Annie for your hospitality and extraordinary kindness you showed to me and my daughter. You set the tone for my first visit to Providence and it added to my sense of peace when I had to let go and leave my daughter at Brown. I love your house and the atmosphere you created. I like the look of... More

We only stayed one night because of prebooked hotel on Cape Cod but this was a different and delightful experience which we could happily have extended! Annie runs a very comfortable, homely house with a casual but very efficient manner. We met the other guests round the large communal dining table and because I wanted soft boiled eggs Annie invited... More

This was our first trip to Rhode Island, and we found Providence to be a beautiful and interesting city. The Annie Brownell House is conveniently located near the Wayland Square neighborhood, only blocks from the campuses of Brown and the R.I. School of Design. Anne is a friendly and helpful hostess. We stayed here for the first 2 nights of... More

I have stayed at the Annie Brownell House on numerous occassions over the past few months, and each visit is as wonderful as the previous. The breakfasts are not only delicious, but healthy also. The house is beautiful and the rooms cozy and comfortable, leaving one feeling they are in their own home. The host, Anne Tundermann, is a wonderful... More
