Great location, clean rooms, and a great value for the price. Walking distance to downtown and a 10 minute or so drive into Rocky Mountain National Park. More

I have stayed at the Mountain Sage Inn on more than one occasion. Each time I have been impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and grounds and the fair costs for lodging. I am not one who needs a hotel with pool and spa and game room and amenities I will never use but have to pay for anyway.... More

We have been traveling in Colorado without reservations. We pulled into Mountain Sage Inn and found the rates affordable. We stayed in room #7 with a king size bed and a/c. The room was clean and was quiet (on 2nd floor). The location was good and within walking distance to town. I also noticed the management took the time to... More

We enjoyed our stay. It is very clean, they had muffins, fruit and drinks for a quick breakfast. This is not a resort, more of a hotel feel but the ability to walk downtown and not fight parking was great. Compared to the other places to stay, it is a good value. More

Everything was mediocre, at best. I would have rated the place average, until I was treated rudely by the person at the front desk. If the accomodations are average, then you should be offering exceptional customer service to make the place more attractive. You have to sign up for a 30 min block of time in the hot tub. When... The room was clean and quiet and had a microwave and mini-fridge. There were free DVDs available for checkout in the office area and a binder with copies of menus from local restaurants. The person at the front desk was very helpful in recommending places to eat and a way to avoid the downtown traffic. There are mini muffins and... More

Paid half as much for a room at least 5 times the size in Denver. Granted, this is a tourist trap, but... the check-in attendant is a personification of rudeness disguised under a thin veil of feigned hospitality. The extra 20 or 30 bucks will save you an unnecessary headache. Also, no smoking unless you don't mind standing on the... More

This place was great--affordable for the location, clean room, nice owners. My husband and I were in town for a wedding and wanted to drive through the mountains while the road was open (had been closed due to snow the previous day)--the owners helped us determine if we would have enough time and where to turn around before the wedding--if... Granted we stayed in June, but we couldn't believe how over priced this city was. Decent hotels were 150 plus mid week so we went for the independently owned place that was 100 a night. The owner was perfectly accommodating but the room definitely lacked attention to detail, thread bare towels and saggy bed. Not awful but no winner either.... More
