I agree with some other writers who are skeptical about the long list of 5-star reviews for the "motel". We stayed here strictly because of the the rating on our tripadvisor app, yet it didn't measure up to the reviews. I guess it is possible to create mulitple accounts and submit reviews on your own place, which may be what... More

This place was quite a find. Everything you want in a reasonably priced motel at an excellent rate. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful and the place is comfortable and well maintained. More

We had read the positive reviews of this place and the praises of Kay the staffer and were delighted to find everything was true! Large, comfortable room in very convenient location--much better location than the chains on the edge of town. reasonably priced. Free breakfast was not much, although Kay did make hard boiled eggs one day an fetched some... More

We needed a place to stay for one night on our way from Houston to Colorado and after reading reviews for motels in Albequerque we chose Sandia Peak. When we first drove up I wasn't too sure about the neighborhood but the motel itself proved to be fantastic. The husband & wife owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Upon check... More

For a motel, this is one of the better ones. The area feels safe, and the rooms have been upgraded. The beds were comfy. Upon checking into my room, Kay was very helpful and pleasant to work with, even offering an Internet cable for my laptop. The wireless was so slow, but then again, even the wired connection was. But... More

After reading all the great reviews of this small, friendly place, we decided to try it the week before Thanksgiving. Kay the owner takes all the calls, makes the reservations and honors her commitments. When we arrived, she offered us an upgrade free of charge. We ended up in room 218 which had a king bed, desk, fridge, microwave and... More

I saw this property recommended based on high reviews in a Tripadvisor email a day before I was driving into Albuquerque. Using a smartphone and the Tripadvisor app, I was unable to review the reviewers of this motel, so I stayed here on faith... After "reviewing the reviewers" on my home PC I am very skeptical of reviews giving a... More

I chose the Sandia Peak Inn because of the good Tripadvisor reviews and because I always want to stay in unique places. We arrived at the Sandia Peak Inn around 3 in the afternoon, I had to wait for 10 minutes and ask a maid because there was nobody at the reception. Then Kay came giving us many excuses she... More

I would highly recommend this really cute, family-run motel on old Route 66. It's not only clean, and inexpensive, but very comfortable and the people that run it are very nice and friendly. They offer a continental breakfast in the morning, however, we did not participate in it... that's included in the price of your stay. More

My friend and I were on a trip from California to Georgia and stopped here for the night. We chose this place because on trip advisor it was listed as the #2 place to stay out of almost 150 places. And at the price per night we had to go. The woman at the desk, Kay, was very, very friendly.... More
