The Marriott Downtown in SLC is a great location for the convention centre and arts centre. It's a pretty nice hotel. The room is large as expected from a Marriott in this part of the world. Don't bother staying here people, very old dated hotel, circa 1989. The outside was very in need of a paint job. The room was shabby. Chipped furniture, slow shower water, stained bed cover. The hotel was feet away from the Salt Palace Convention Center and close to great restaurants. The room we got was big enough to sleep 3 and had a great view of the mountains. The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely stay here again next year for the next convention. More

The hotel has a huge lobby with a fireplace which was very welcoming. The rooms are average sized, the bathroom was tiny. Ask for an upper floor for a better view.
