As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed and made to feel so much at home. Mike and Rosemary were excellent hosts, the accommodation was faultless and the conversation a joy to be had. The breakfasts were substantial and very tasty and we left Plane Tree Lodge feeling that we had made new friends.

We loved our stay here, super location. Rosemary and Mike welcomed us into their home with tea, coffee and homemade cake on arrival. Rosemary and Mike Wright have a beautiful home in New Zealand's Northland. Their warm welcome and amazing hospitality made the wonderful house into a real home. The lodge is easy to find, has full en-suite facilities, and the Wrights make a great breakfast!

This is an ideal place to stay to explore the far north of New Zealand. Rosemary and Mike were very welcoming and hospitable and were a good source of advice on restaurants and places to visit. The breakfasts were excellent.
