We stayed here a few years ago when it was still called the Diamond Hotel or Resort. Although it is not on the beach, that is fine! We visited the hotels on the beach in Wailea and found the beach to be not so great. The rooms at the Hotel Wailea are huge and very comfortable, granted there is some... More

An overall nice place to stay. The only negative, the walk to the parking lot is far. More

Let's just put it this way - if you don't mind a hotel that's in the midst of early renovations and away from where all the action is, then this hotel is perfect for you. But they really shouldn't advertise it (yet) as a luxury boutique hotel. For the price we were paying, we might as well have paid a... More

I think I might have rated the Wailea higher if it hadn't raised my expectations so high by calling itself a 'true luxury boutique hotel'... The location is great if you dont mind not being right be the sea. The rooms are super spacious, have a great view and because the resort is so big it feels very relaxed and... More

Wow! This place is beautiful. The grounds are immaculate, there are fresh red hibiscus flowers put everywhere each morning, there's a creek running through the entire property with beautiful bridges over the creek. The hotel is on a hillside so there are views of the ocean everywhere. The 70 rooms are actually split into quad buildings, so it's all spread... More

My husband and I very much enjoyed that this boutique hotel was set in such a nice neighborhood setting. Higher up the hill above the big resorts enabled us to really feel as though we were getting away from it all to enjoy what we went to Maui for: peace and quiet, the warmth of the sun, and incredible views... My wife and I really enjoyed the Hotel Wailea. The rooms are quite large, situated on a beautiful property. The breakfast is free, but lacks variety in the type of food and from day to day the selection is the same. They offered a small variety of fruit (all fresh), cereal, breads and cakes, juice, coffee and tea. The hotel... More

We spent 15 nights in a partial ocean view. We loved everything! The comfy pool furniture, excellent front desk staff (Emily, Carin, Leilani, Meegan, David - thank you!). The wonderful shuttle drivers and porters (Chris, Max, Manny, Kai and more - you guys were so terrific!), the morning yoga, amazing orchard tour, drinks at the pool, and movies at the... More

Because this hotel is up the hill and not at the beach it's a bit more affordable compared to the luxury. The place and gardens are beautiful and well kept. Our suite with sea view was really nice with views all around. Even at night the pool is still open and well taken care of with flowers, candles and towels.... More

We were looking for a quiet location with some space on Maui and chose this hotel and an "upgraded" suite after an extensive search. In terms of positives, the location is just fine, the grounds were pretty and the unit had a small screened patio with two chaises and an incredible, elevated view of the ocean, including Molokini, with amazing...
