4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2013 NEW

We stopped here for a lunch with my elderly in-laws and the staff couldn't have done more for us if they had tried. They quickly moved chairs and opened doors to accommodate my Father-in-Law's wheelchair and were welcoming and interested in us and where we had come from that day. The food when it arrived was hot and tasty and... More

Stopped for a night recently to meet up with a friend who lives locally. I Had stayed there some time ago and was pleasantly surprised to see the new owner has started a renovation. The welcome was warm and friendly, the room I had (room 9)was recently completed and was very clean and well presented. Freeview TV and free WIFi,... More

We did not stay in the hotel - but it looked good- and the staff were very pleasant. We were living in rented accommodation in the town and ordered 'carry-out; fish and chips one evening. All eleven portions were excellent- some of the best haddock we'd ever eaten. We also had one breakfast in the bar area and once again... More

We popped in here for (late) lunch on Sunday so only used the restaurant - luckily they were able to squeeze us in with two young children. The room had clearly been recently renovated (it looks to be part of an ongoing major project), and although not to my style, it is smart. The service was very considerate, and the... More

Recently had dinner for two at the Comrie Hotel. The quality of the food was excellent - cooked with expertise and fresh ingredients by an experienced chef. Would say that it easily beats the other establishments in Comrie with its non fussy but very tasty menu and sensible prices. The best haddock and chips I've ever had - bags of... More

Warm friendly staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome, our mum was 75, they laid on an amazing spread, all fresh food, decorated the dining room with banners and table decorations, supplied free champagne, catered for a gluten free meal too, then supplied a karaoke machine, we had the best night, thank you very much. $80 (British pounds) per night seemed a lot for a hotel that is in such need of renovation. Fire Alarm went off in middle of the night, water pressure was non existent, no shelf or counter in the bathroom to put anything on (we had to put our wash bags on the floor) and we could not get out early... our stay was three years ago but I just could not help writing this review. we were staying in Aberfeldy and literally "strayed " into Comrie. Christmas eve and the kids were hungry. and then we saw that this hotel was open and Margaret said "but ofcourse" when the kids wanted fish and chips.....and that was the best I have... More

Staff very friendly but rooms were very dated. At £80 B&B I think it was very over priced. Downstairs was being renovated but our room hadn't been. Horrible nylon curtains and bed spread. Burn marks on the carpet. Decor awful. I think they should not be charging these prices until they modernise the rooms.

We went to stay for a wedding in the area. The hotel is slowly being upgraded and the dining room is a glimpse of the style to come - clean, modern, fresh. The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate, good sound insulation and a comfy bed. The staff were the shining beacon in our stay - ever so welcoming, helpful... More
