I had a very pleasant surprise in this bed and breakfast place. It is very conveniently located to the Harvard area (Central subway station), which is within reach even by foot. There is a grocery and a couple of restaurants nearby (e.g. a korean). The service is excellent, you can use the fridge and help yourself with the breakfast. You'll... More

came to Boston to visit friends and relatives and was very glad to have found this guest house! The cozy and warm rooms was such a comfort from the cold winter month. Met the owner, Amy a few times during my stay who was very warm and kind. She helped me with a lot of my question and suggestion of... More

The owner Amy at the Lotus Hotel was really nice and helpful. The rooms were cozy and well furnished. The breakfast were good with fresh fruits and French croissants. You do have to prepare it yourself but the good side of it is that you can have breakfast (or a snack) whenever you want. It was really quiet and calm.... More

study in contrasts. I was upgraded to the third floor suite(I was glad I was in good shape because this is three flights of stairs). The furnishings are a mix of old and uncomfortable, cheap ratan and antique provincial high-backed arm chairs. The bedroom was huge with a king-sized memory foam bed but no chair, luggage rack, or dresser on... More

We stayed in the Lotus Room for two nights and found the whole place to be average. Not unpleasant but neither luxury. The room is just about big enough and there is space to unpack your bags, but the cupboard and set of drawers are not ideal and we opted to live out of our bags. You have a private... More

We were going to Boston spontaneously and didn't have much luck finding a place to stay according to our standards (which is a private double bed room with a private bath). Lotus Place was one of a few options we had left, and since it was by far the least expensive, we booked it. Still, it is probably the most... More

Even though it is not a hotel, Lotus place is an excellent option to stay.I had everything I needed for breakfast, it was always clean and very comfortable. Located at a walking distance from main locations, with bus routes right outside, and a short walk to the subway.

Recently stayed at the Lotus Place guest house for a short course I was taking at Harvard. The innkeeper/host seemed to also be a fellow student around the area and was very pleasant and helped me settle in and answered most of my questions around the area. My room, although a little smaller to my liking. was very clean and... More

Although their web site claims "Newly renovated (2006), Lotus Place is a luxurious and modern B&B located in the heart of Cambridge", it was far from luxorious. While the main living-dining-kitchen space was kept vacuumed, and the bedroom was clean and comfortable, the en suite bathroom was not clean! We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by the... My partner and I stayed at Lotus Place for 2 nights. We are seasoned travelers and often stay in many kinds of lodgings. We booked this place after the wonderful Irving House at Harvard, where we stay very often, was fully booked. The website was nice enough and we were engaged professionally through telephone and email when we booked our... More
