Upon arriving at this lodging, it looked beautiful from the outside. And indeed it is beautiful on the inside too.... But stay downstairs if you can. We were upstairs in a very basic room with wafer thin walls and a bathroom tap that would not stop dripping. Very disappointed after paying a lot of money.

Anna and Hjorleifur are a hard working couple with delightful boys. Loved the English hunting lodge. The owners are wonderful cooks and l loved the idea that they use mostly local food.....soups are delicious. Would love to come back and see Iceland in the daylight.

I will keep this simple. Loved it. Beautiful setting, quiet, clean, friendly and helpful staff, great food. And wi-fi. It was an easy drive early in the morning from Ensku husin to the airport, but we didn't want to leave.

Great food, cozy atmosphere and the owners (a darling couple) saved us by pulling us out of a ditch with their beefy tractor when we skidded off the driveway. I'd love to go back when it's light/warmer and explore the property and the river. Food was EXCELLENT too: herring, lamb, rhubarb/skyr dessert, salmon.......... :-)
