Obviously not a modern hotel - but well above expectations of a hotel with the word 'historic' in its name. Clean, comfortable room - great complimentary breakfast. We spent 3 nights at the Historic Anchorage Hotel. We had a mini-suite and enjoyed the restoration of the hotel. The bathroom was small, but everything was immaculate. The front desk people provided maps, restaurant recommendations, directions, and answered all questions. Parking is available at a city lot for $10 for 24 hours....very reasonable and a very short walk away.... More

This hotel is very old and dingy and I thought the bathroom was gross. The only thing good about this hotel was the location...we could walk to the nearby restaurants and shops. It was a very nice room & good service. A small room refrig. would have been nice for the massive restaurant leftovers:) Nice to have real cups & glasses in room. Walking distance to downtown attractions a plus. More
