Well our vacation was great again due to Mary, Hugh, and all their staff at Banana Courtyard. There is never a question of where to stay when we go to NOLA. Secure gate and quite, great room and much to look at in the old historic home. I do not want to forget to give a shoot out to our... More

Great beautiful old house.kept very clean at all times, inside and out. Perfectly located a half a block from the french quarter. The staff were the best. From Mary and Hugh to Corey and Gerrard and everyone else, including Stanely our cab driver. The kindliest and friendliest people you'll ever meet. They felt like family. We stayed 7 nights. We stayed 3 nights, in 3 different rooms due to reservations and all of them were beautiful and unique. Decorated with a lot of antiques and funny, historical finds every room makes you feel like sleeping in a museum - in a positve way! Changing the room went very smooth and gave us no inconvenience at all. Mary and Hugh... More

We stayed 3 nights in hugh & Mary's B&B in New Orleans in April 13. The rooms are quirky, fun and clean. the breakfast is great lots of coffee fruit and pastries (& home made jams). BUT the best part of the Banana Courtyard is the welcome from Hugh & Mary, Mary welcomed us to the B&B talked us through... More

Upon arriving at Banana Courtyard, I knew right away we made the right choice. After being offered a free beer or glass of wine by the host, I felt right at home. The owners were helpful and genuine. The location is a quick walk to anything in the french quarter, and Frenchman street. If you are not familiar with the... More

Celebrated my B-day with friends and family at the Banana Courtyard (7 girls from age 30 to 61)! I booked rooms far in advance and we loved the place! (private entrance with balcony for the three rooms). . .absolutely perfect and charming! Just a short walk from Frenchmen street and please try Mary's tip for the local pub (Buffas)! We... More

Overall, this is a fine place to stay for the location, price, and quirkiness. The location is great and within walking distance of the whole French Quarter. The first B in B&B is adequate. If you are looking for a decent bed in the area, you will be fine here. However, don't go expecting a delicious breakfast...... We were with... More

We recently had the opportunity to visit New Orleans - just prior to the Super Bowl power failure. We stayed with Mary and Hugh Ramsey at the Banana Courtyard B and B. The owner/operators were great - gave us a personal walk to the center of the French quarter - aimed us away from the party area downtown to a... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts and the staff were wonderful: friendly, helpful, and caring. The house is comfortable and fun! We had the Madame's Steamboat Room. I was worried because it was a bit chilly during our visit but the heaters worked great and Mary gave me some sweaters to use - needed and appreciated! So much... More

We really enjoyed our stay. Close enough to all the main French quarter sites to walk to. Although we walked so much back and forth we were exhausted! Quaint and cozy little place with lots of appeal. We stayed one night in the carriage quilt room and one night in the Madame steamboat room and both were great. Mary and... More
