We stayed in Storyville for two nights at the start of our honeymoon. The journey from London had been pretty awful and the airline had lost my husband's bag (delivered at around 2am) but what a treat to sink into this comfy bed for a little while before nipping downstairs for a couple of beers and a chat to the... Traditional NOLA architecture with just the right amount of up-dates/modern touches. perfect location for wandering through the quarter or marigny. Much more laid back vibe than bourbon and a lot less touristy. Free drink tokens on the pillow is a great touch. Even though you are above a bar, it wasn't noisy or bothersome at all. The balcony is perfect... More

Took a trip to the big easy, with some college mates, for the first time in February. Decided on the Royal Street Inn due to its location and pricing. The Inn and the R Bar downstairs did not let us down. Our room was amazing, with a huge balcony as well as a hop skip and a stumble to the... More

My husband and I were preparing to visit New Orleans for the first time and were undecided as to what're to stay. We wanted someplace close to the Quarter and Frenchman St that felt safe for walking. We called up a local friend who immediately suggested the RBar. The RBar did not disappoint! It was exactly what we were looking... More

A number of friends and I rented out several of the suites (all on the first and second floor) of this bed and beverage during the kickoff parade for Mardi Gras, the Krewe du Vieux during a conference. The 2nd floor suites have a balcony that is the perfect location to view the parade, and renting out the Royal Suite... More

Stayed here for Jazz Fest 2012. Found that most everything written here is/was true so I won't rehash it all however just had to say what a great place this is to stay. The place is all the reviews say it is...unique is the best word I can use. The bar is one of the friendliest I have ever been... More

If you want something a little different and a little funky, you'll get it at Royal Street Inn, Royal Street Inn and R Bar is not for everyone. It is, as it's name says, an Inn and Bar! The lower half of the property is a local bar in the Faubourg Marginy district of New Orleans. Perfect location if the... More

This inn probably isn't for everybody but it's really very cool and we had a fun stay. Just a few rooms are available upstairs from a popular friendly bar. There's no registration desk, so you check in with the bartender and the whole set up is kind of self-service. We got in very late so the bar was a bit... More

I enjoyed every part of my experience at this inn. Our room had two tokens for free drinks at the bar downstairs. We ran into a hipster chick wearing knit holsters pockets that she made herself. She also sold homemade burrito type food off her bike. I had one with black beans. It was pretty good.

This place was wonderful, it was close to Frenchmen Street (which is not as touristy as Bourbon Street), but still a short walk to Bourbon. This atmosphere was like staying with a friend instead of a hotel. The bed was super comfy. The cajun lemonade drink at the bar was really tasty. Will definately stay her again!
