My bf and I stayed at LaFitte Guest House on a recent visit to New Orleans. We wanted to be close to the tourist attractions of the French Quarter without all the chaos and debauchery. We hit the jackpot with LaFitte. The guest house is an old house transformed into an art gallery/guest house. We had a room on the... More

We were pleasantly surprised, very clean, exactly as shown in pictures we saw, location was perfect, within walking distance to attractions, so we never drove, kitchen was next to balcony, so we sat out and had beverages and food handy. They even had fresh coffee and WARM blueberry muffins and biscuits for breakfast! We had a wonderful stay!

Room was great. People, especially Kesha, are great. Very good location. Excellent service. Excellent price. We were able to walk all over town from this central location. There is an old time feel to the place yet the amenities are modern.

The staff at this great little hotel are extremely friendly and provide welcoming New Orleans hospitality. The quaint courtyard and art gallery are cool extras. The location is perfect as restaurants, saloons, and live music are all within walking distance.

this old guest house which has and is being restored is very lovely....our room was beautifully appointed with pre-Civil War chifferobe and an outstanding half tester bed which was not only lovely but truly comfortable....the downside is the busy busy corner and loud outside activity on Bourbon and St. Philip Street....doesn't help that directly outside our first floor room was... I had mere 20 hours to enjoy a New Orleans visit, and I was very glad I chose Lafitte Guest House. Apparently resurrected post Katrina, the property retains its heritage style, while being clean, comfortable, and gracious. Your young staff was warm and welcoming, much appreciated traveling with my "plus one" Errol, a grey parrot. The room was beautiful, and... More

Yes! I remember you and your very cute and very well mannered bird, Errol. I am glad you enjoyed our location and surroundings.I see that you took advantage of what the city has to offer in such a short period of time and I agree that Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop next door is a perfect place for a nightcap. We were there in March for my 50th birthday. Great location- within walking distance of anything on Bourbon street, and water front. Clean rooms, and the free food 24 hrs/day was a great treat. Can eat breakfast and snack at anytime. Would certainly good back.

I have been going to New Orleans for over 40 years, and staying @ Lafitte Guest House for over 30 years. In 2011 I told my wife that was the last time as the B&B had gone down hill too much. This year I tried it once again reluctantly, only to find a new owner had invested heavily in updating... More

My boyfriend turned 30 this year, and my big present to him was a trip to New Orleans during spring break. He has family down here, and I've been in love with the idea of the city since I was small. This was my first time booking a trip for myself that didn't involve family, and I put so much... More
