This is a very clean, well maintained and elegant resort; around 2 hours drive from the airport on the beautiful back waters. The service is excellent and food was good and the gardens were stunning. This is quite economical compared to many hotels – overall excellent value for money. I sincerely recommend this.

Travelled in May 2013 with family of three. Had booked Lakeview Premium room (top most category). The room is spacious and very well decorated. Stayed at lake palace for the second time in May this year......so most of the review is comparison with stay in May 2009. The room 300 series is definitely an upgrade from the floating villas. View thru french windows, of the house boats passing by is mind blowing. Definitely very spacious rooms and baths.Too many furnitures for my taste though.... More

My experience of backwaters of Kerala was made memorable by two facilities provided by the Hotel i.e. speed boat ride in backwaters and evening boat ride in the backwaters. Good view and good food with large portions especially the fish dishes..very traditional. Rooms are spacious but no room service yet. Buggy service is good.A bit on the expensive side but the spa is great and very relaxing ambience altogether. No noise pollution.

This was simply a Wow place to be. Everything seems perfect... Property, Service, Hospitable staff, Food, Swimming Pool, Activity Room (with my li'l son played snooker and table tennis). It was on a holiday we checked in at Lake Place. The Kerala Cottage which we had booked were neat and very spacious but the bathrooms badly needs maintenance . All the taps & flush leaking.
