We planned an impromptu road trip for Mother's Day weekend and were thrilled that the Wilderness Lodge had a room available for our family of four. The grounds are rustic and homey and awesome. Chickens clucked in the background from their coop while we sat on a long porch in comfy rocking chairs and watched our kids have a blast... More

If you want to get out of the mainstream & be relaxed, this is the place. Check everything at the door & have a good time. There is a really slow, wonderful situation here. My room was perfect. I met people I didn't know. Sharing is not optional. Breakfasts are wonderful. Take at least 2 hours and look at everything... More

Very sweet spot, with wonderful hot springs just steps away from the very cool old converted schoolhouse lodge. Very kind hosts, lovely breakfasts included, very reasonable rates. Fabulous kitchen and a super-long table for communal meals, cozy bedrooms with lots of beds and extra blankets. I had a wonderful time.

A group of 11 college students, three teachers, and one dog spent an incredible weekend at the Wilderness Lodge in Gila Hot Springs. We were delighted by the hospitality, the food, the kitchen, the location (great and easy access to the cliff dwellings and hiking), and the space to retreat and close a semester together. This is our second time... More

Dean and Jane are the best! The hot springs are perfect after a day hiking! This place is at the end of the road and magical. I am looking forward to my next visit with friends. Be sure to see the cliff dwellings.

Incredibly wonderful place to stay, with the hosts providing exceptional hospitality and kindness, in the most beautiful setting imaginable. The hot springs hit the spot before or after a day or partial day on the trail. Incredible homemade food. One of the best places i've ever spent a weekend, and my heart aches to go back.

This B & B is in an old schoolhouse. It is kind of like staying in a museum or at your grandma's house. There are antiques throughout the house. It is very quiet and the owners are very nice and accomodating. It is a very family friendly atmosphere. The other guests were very interesting to talk to over breakfast. We... More

This large lodge is owned by free spirits with Jethro Tull and Jefferson Airplane vinyls. The rooms were interestingly eclectic but a bit stuffy upstairs. The beds/mattresses were old but adequately comfortable. The walls and spice containers in the common kitchen were grimy. The hot springs pools (2 small ones) were algae-filled with sharp gravel at the bottom. However, for... More

I stayed here four nights and it was wonderful. The family running it is the best and great to talk to. You stay in an old school house so it is very rustic and cool. It is beautiful here and on my last day I stayed at the lodge the whole day because I did not want to be anywhere... More
