I have never stayed at Rachel’s Dowry B&B. However, during the last year (including this past week), I have emailed/contacted them three times with some basic questions. Not once did they respond! So, I assigned them “two stars” because, according to Tripadvisor, that represents a “poor” performance by the B&B. There are many other options in Baltimore for me to choose from that will appreciate me as a potential customer.

A central location, a superb breakfast, and a welcoming and interesting host, all in one of the oldest houses in Baltimore, beautifully restored, full of antiques and fine reproductions. I don't know what else we could have wanted.

It is a privilege to stay at this Inn and be part of history. Linda, the Innkeeper, is kind, intelligent and knowledgeable. The house has hosted George Washington and other early Americans and is so beautifully restored that you can just picture them coming down the central staircase. Breakfasts are, in a word, amazing. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The home is within easy walking distance to the Inner Harbor and other Baltimore sights such as the Babe Ruth House. It's also walking distance to University of Maryland Medical Center (which we had reason to visit unfortunately) and their law, nursing, and medical schools. Why would you stay at the chain hotels when you could stay here instead??

Work has been extremely stressful lately. When I need to relax and decompress, I take a few days off in Baltimore and book my favorite B&B Rachael's Dowry. Linda is amazing! She is very friendly and treats everyone with respect. I made a mistake while booking my room but called Linda as soon as I realized it and she was able to quickly resolve the issue without any hassle or judgement. I stayed in the Audrey Genevieve suite. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and smelled good. The room was already warmed up when I arrived so I was able to just chill as soon as I arrived. Food was delicious! So much so I asked for the recipe and Linda promised to email it to me later. Coffee, tea and drinking water are available at all times, as well as home-made cookies and cognac in the parlor. Also Linda knows the area very well and can recommend places to eat and visit. Without a doubt, Rachael's Dowry is my favorite B&B. Note: ask Linda for the story of the house. Thank you, Linda!!…

Linda makes you feel right at home and pays attention to every detail. This was not our first stay and won't be our last. Easy walk to Inner Harbor. Parking included. The mattress, pillows and sheets make for a great night of sleep. There are always freshly baked cookies available. Highly recommend!

I can't even begin to say enough good things about Linda, her family, and the beautiful bed and breakfast they keep. My sister booked my husband and I a room here to get ready for our wedding, and Linda immediately jumped in to help us plan the best course of action to keep the weekend flowing smooth with vendors and friends/family running in and out all day. We arrived to immaculate rooms, all the amenities we needed, and a built in problem-solver to help us with every single hiccup that arose and last second request. The food was amazing and served in such a peaceful setting that it really helped us unwind for the first hour of each day before we jumped into the madness. I do not think we would have survived this with our sanity intact without Linda, her sisters, and her mother working alongside us and reminding us to just enjoy the day. I would 1000% reccomend this experience to anyone looking for anything from a day's escape to something as large as trusting her to host your out of town family for a wedding. We were all thrilled and can't wait to come back next time we're in town!…
